Touring lake Tisza by canoe

    For beginners and small children: The short Dinnyéshát excursion (2.5 hours). Through a world of channels, exploring the link between river and lake, with a break on the far shore.

    For the experienced and the more daring: The long Dinnyéshát excursion (4 hours). Dinnyéshát, rowing on the river (the Tisza is 14 metres deep here), cooling down on the open water.

    For the more experienced and persistent: All the way to Kisköre (6 hours). Swaying down the quiet waters and exploring the old river channel, drifting down to Kisköre, back on the open water. A test of strength and endurance.

    Groups and school trips (beginners or experienced): The first days are devoted to basic tcnique and water safety. Third days brings a short tour (4-5 Km) to the islands, fourthy day a medium length tour (6-8 Km), cave exploring and the settlements on the far shore, finally according to skills a longer (10-15 Km) tour, using the locks at the Kisköre Power Station.
